Ever since 'Super Paper Mario' came out, little to no respect has been given to the two games that came before it, the REAL Paper Mario. Ignore what everyone else says - Thousand Year Door is one of the best games I have ever played. Ever.

This is my attempt to get people to remember the best bits about the whole game - through music. If you never played it - this will do little for you. If you played it and loved it, memories of things you had completely forgotten will flood back to you... just like they did with me...

This is the chapter I remember the least. No because it was boring, but because of the sheer amazement that this could get any better It was like walking in a dream maybe I was high or something. Ah well. The first time I played through this I got freaked out by the Palace of Shadow. I was 10 or whatever. Good times good times

Yeah, the reason I split Chapter 8 in half was because of the thing at the end. Originally, there was gonna be an animation of Mario dancing to it, but I couldnt be bothered. Maybe next time I cant believe this is the end Then they had to go and ruin t with Super Paper Mario. Its like getting 2 strikes in a row, then gutterballling the rest. Damn you Hopefully Paper Mario 4 on Nintendos next consol will be good.

Maybe Ill make a Brawl Music Walkthrough. Dunno how thats gonna work.

"Dear Mario,
What's up? Goombella here! I'm still here working with Professor Frankly. We beat the Shadow Queen, but there's tons of Rogueport lore we still don't get... So, my research with the professor goes on and on. With the info I gathered with you, we have lots of great leads now, though! Mario... Like I always said, every myth contains a kernel of truth. Speaking of which, know what ws in the chest that the professor recovered? You're totally not gonna believe me when I tell you. It's... A secret! Ha ha ha ha ha! But I'll tell you next time I see you. Koops is living peacefully in Petalburg with his dad and Koopie Koo. And, Mario... Guess what Koops wants to do now! He wants to become mayor of Petalburg and live there in peace! Can you imagine? Still, it might just be perfect for him, come to think of it. He's so much more of an adult now than when you left Rogueport! ...Still, I think Koopie Koo pretty much has him wrapped around her little finger! Flurrie's back on stage in a big way, and the crowds are totally ecstatic. And, the play she's doing right now is the story of our adventure! Yeah! It's called "Paper Mario"! I saw it twice! It was totally the best play ever! And somehow, Doopliss has joined the troupe as an actor! Who saw that coming? His transformation skills serving him well, but it still kind of creeps me out... Oh, and little Yoshi? Yeah, he's fighting solo in the Glitz Pit! He says he's getting pretty close to a title match, even! Isn't that just ADORABLE? Oh, yeah, he's calling himself "The Great Gonzales Jr." in the ring, by the way. It's sorta silly, but kinda cute, too, don'tcha think? Oh, and... Wait, I have to get this exactly right or he'll get like, SO mad at me... He, uh, said that he could "totally take you in the ring now, so bring it!" I guess he doesn't change... Isn't that too cute? Vivian's gone back to hang out with her sisters. Family is important, after all... Now that the Shadow Queen has been defeated, I don't think Beldam's into evil. Oh, and Beldam also promised me she would never be mean to Vivian ever again. Yup, I think the three sirens are going to live pretty peacefully from now on... But you should totally go visit her sometime. Bobbery goes out to sea every day now with Cortez... I think his soul has healed. I ran into him on Keelhaul Key by accident the other day, which was nice. He was so happy, I thought he was going to blow up on me for a second there. You know... I bet Scarlette is looking down on him and smiling right now. Oh, and I almost forgot... Everyone on Keelhaul Key is well, and they say hello. Oh, yeah... In my travels, I heard a rumor that Lord Crump and Grodus were both still alive. I guess that makes them pretty tenacious baddies, doesn't it, Mario? But they've mellowed a lot, just like Beldam has, and I don't expect more trouble. Plus, I hear Grodus is just a head, which really cuts down on mischief-making. Speaking of miracle survivals... Guess whose favorite computer is still computing? He says he really wants to see you and Peach again! Well, I'm totally rambling at this point, so I guess I'd better wrap it up... I just wanna say, even though things got tough, I'm grateful for our time together. And... There is one thing that kind of weigehed on me and I never got to express to you. See, I... Well... Maybe that's best kept a secret. "So, please say hi to Peach for me, OK? 'Til we meet again!"

Super Mario World takes the cake on the old mario games.

The Thousand-Year Door takes the cake on every game after that.

I have no problem with Super Paper Mario, or Galaxy or nsmb for that matter, but you're so right, the newer games have nothing on these games.

But I don't think they are 'rubbish'

@Drovedestroyer You've misunderstood me; I was actually just commenting on Super Paper Mario in the sense that it wasn't as good as Thousand Year Door, and is in fact non comparable as they're essentially separate genres of game. I was concentrating simply on the Paper Mario range; I find that the Mario franchise broadly is still producing main 'canon' games that are just as good if not better than the classics.

That's because they are better than the Wii version. And not because the Wii version was more advanced, because it sucked in general.

Paper Mario N64. Amazing. Paper Mario Thousand Year Door. Amazing. Just a great big, funnier, more playable, more crisper version of N64. Super Paper Mario. WAS RUBBISH! Well, rubbish commpared with the other two. Broke every tradition and play style. Basically, its not a Paper Mario game.

@jmjmjm97 The parrot is the only thing that knew the ??? monsters name (Doopliss) in chapter 4 of the game, in twilight town. So was locked away, you find that parrot learn doopliss's name and beat him then move on to chapter 5.

super paper mario its a paper mario game the story is the best and darkest of all the mario saga the characters are cool, the boses are cool and the music is cool it just have a diferent gameplay and its F-U-N try to play it again and you will see.... pm2 is the best anyway
