Learning to play Keyboard - First stages

As a new years resolution I decided to learn the keyboard. Bought a cheap second hand keyboard, some learn yourself DVD's and away I go.

Will be documenting a vlog my progress, from beginning - now - to hopefully being able to play a complete tune :-)

Ok I wanna start to play really soon! Dont wanna spend to much on a keyboard till later!.Any ideas for for starter keyboards at a good price? Thanks again!!

@GermanyFussball2014 I just went on ebay and had a particular price as a limit. Then just picked a brand I knew and bid.. Can't really suggest a particular to be honest

btw, the way i was taught to use both, is the D, put both ur thumbs on it, then both index finger on c and e and so on and press them at the same time, so you get the rythem of both hands. if you dont know what i meen, send me a message and ill tell you more simply. sorry was in a rush to send.

@Dynasty1181 Thanks for comment. All help and suggestions highly appreciated, not played for few months as broke my little finger, well ripped off the tendon so been healing. So, even with kink in it rareing to go again and any help and suggestions highly appreciated :)

OH...will it damage the piano if I put tape with letters on it and tape it on to the piano, I saw people use markers and nail polish but I don't think it will come off.

@MissPeacefulFun The stickers came off with little residue. Then I used used some cleaning fluid to clean that. It didn't seem to damage these keys but not something I would guarantee

They are all about the same, Target store has them for about $60 or so. Or maybe you can find one on Amazon.

Get really good then go all out and get a more complex keyboard

sorry if i comment on this much, i just would really like to help you, but, when you get to use both hands or start to learn both hands, try learning left first, then learn right hand, then play left hand so you get use to it, and can do it calmly, and more accurate, then same to right, then when you play with left, try not to think about it much, thats what i do, but sometimes, if left hand has to move alot, i dont think of right hand, and concentrate on left.
