what the hell is going on with the Tribred E kit for the T12???, ive spent a whole day trying to find an E kit online, and every site says, product discontinued, or site been removed, or, no longer available. Is this monopoly?,has trikke stopped all sales and production because they have brought out the Pon E, and can sell it for 3 to 4 times the cost of the E kit. I think so. Does any fellow trikke'r out there know where i can get an Ekit for the T12.?

awesome vid guyz! and wow, we have three things in common...a name (spencer), a tribred T8, and the background music to this video seems to be from SonicPro software?

I'll respond to your second question. The ekit you see is placed on a T8 of course. It's very comfortable for me to ride it and I don't feel any discomfort about the breaks at all even when ripping it around.. Because I'm a trainer and certified in Trikke service I'm comfortable keeping my brakes in shape. You have to judge how you ride. The change in weight with the pack and the wheel are things you have to be aware of though. I appreciate your questions!

I am going to get a Pon-E if I cannot retrofit my Tribreds with the new lithium batteries. That extra storage capacity has me drooling. I have a T12 Tribred and also a T8 Tribred and yeah, for it, you have to get seriously jiggy with the brakes and know their limits. It just become part of the deal to begin to slow down a lot sooner than if you had disks. That said, I have gotten in trouble by assuming better braking power than I had. The new Pon-E with the disks -- gotta love it.

Your endorsement of the motors mean a lot. So do you think it would be worth splashing all the cash the Pon-E will take with the small lithium battery and disc brakes? Another question would be are the kits safe on the Trikkes without disc brakes in your opinion?

I've five years of non-motorized trikking, and just now reached my first year of owning Tribreds. The Tribred experience is transcendentally different. You go to another zone. Your mind is filled differently. It's not about muscling through an event, it's about being COOL! And the very very very very best part is that the thing works you harder than you'd ever imagine. The speed, the speed, it changes everything because it's an all time reality - not just when you're going down a hill.
Very cool video, I had no interest in putting a motor on my trikke - but you do make it look a lot of fun. The poor guy crashing at the end , doesn't need the tribed kit ;)

They are a lot of fun. Don't make me shudder to think what Lawrence would do with an e kit! He is a friggin beast on the trikke. I think he was unable to come to NC when we filmed, but it would have been a blast to get him on film...after he signed a waiver. But it would have been great fun to watch though. He would have set it off!
