Thanks for watching! I auditioned and won a competition to play this piece at Carnegie Hall. In addition to playing there, I will also be receiving the Andrew De Grado Foundation award for winning the competition. The competition was held through the Piano Teacher's Society of America. Please listen to my piece and reply with any constructive criticisim you may have.
I'm going to be a freshman at Montclair State University's John J. Cali School of Music in the fall and I am majoring in flute performance and music education.

How long do you practice your flute? I am an older student who is going BACK to college and I am a wife and mother. I am studying to be come a music education major and I also play flute.

Hi! thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, i don't get too much time to practice. I have a lot of homework, even at the end of the school year, and i play 6 other instruments as well. a lot of times, ill skip lunch at school and practice for my lunch block which is about 45 minutes long, and i try to do about an hour a night at home, but usually that doesn't happen....

you are an excellent flutist... especially with the spot-on memorization of this piece!! I am a sophomore in hs and i will be playing this at my recital in dec but it won't be nearly as good as this; i can guarantee that!!

Thanks for uploading this. Last year I accompanied a bizarre duet by Donjon for two piccolos, but this is the first flute piece by him I have heard. Well don!
