  • Since the merkura are rwd i think it would be really cool if someone put a v8 in one. Theres not really alot of space though :/

  • so i come across these heads on ebay every couple of weeks or so and after watching this video a couple hundred times im going to make the move and throw one in my tbird. i plan on doing many other modifications: bolt ons even rebuild the engine and maybe put a 2.5 stroker kit with it. how much power can you potentially make with this swap? i plan on fully porting the head and add some larger valves into it. do they make different cams for these heads? what should i watch out for?

  • I read it's not too hard of a swap. I think a 2.5 with a b234 head and some boost can be alot of fun =)

  • what kind of spark plug wires did you use?

  • @BuddysSnackShack care to let one go possibly? I've been considering a swap onto my 2.5L Ranger for a while now.

  • dude can u build that one if u can get back to me if ur willing to build another one

  • I wouldn't worry about the crankcase its an iron block but that's bad ass I've got an 84 svo that's what a late 80's dohc you pulled off a Volvo? I got a roller cam for a 98 ranger and put it in my svo and it works great

  • How hard was it to do wanting to do this to my mustang

  • @larsge I don't know about the crankcase but the factory crank is supposed to handle up to 500HP. I think most ford heads blow before the engine reaches that limit though. It's a old 4 cylinder that's been redesigned over time. It's not like we expect much from it. :D

  • @BuddysSnackShack Well.... i'd like to see that Ford crankcase cope with 700+bhp at 8500rpm......
