sorry, her voice is nothing like Lisa Gerrard's. she's not bad, but her singing is just nice and dreamy. She lacks the quality that makes Lisa Gerrard's singing fearsomely beautiful instead of just nice. Not everyone who does some trance-drifting chanting in a medieval frame of reference should be compared to Lisa 'cause that's not the point. Listen to Spaceweaver and you´ll realize that.

Not to diss the singer in this too hard but by comnparing her to Lisa you're asking for a massacre :)

It's fine, that enybody feeling those difference from over the thouusand people.-) It's really, but for me it is important "trance-drifting" chanting and melody from the heard...the soul. In my meaning it is alá Lisa, ....she is for me greater and more meditativ. But can you anybody singer whitch is nearer phenomenal "deep-angel" voice of Lisa G.??? I know idem sonans else Azam Ali (from VAS any old albums) and one French tandem, but the name...? google help me! Oh...it's RAJNA.-)

Azam Ali is fine. Coming from her Indo-Iranian background she's at the source of some of the things that DCD also used. But for me, the fascination with Lisa G. was never the ethnic/worldmusic sounding tracks but that she can be totally abstract and still reach inside you and grab your heart. And when that happens, you aren't drifting or meditating, instead, you are transfixed, and exposed to something that is very raw and powerful, and seems to come from inside and outside at the same time.

You have right..:-) I feel it too so. I modify the name of the klip. I think the name in the sense: the chicken alá the pheasant.-) But it is more gravely... Voice of Lisa (with Brendan arrangement) is phenomenal archetyp of God sound number One without disputation like W.A. Mozatr at 17. century. Than are better only New age music without (or modificated) voice mostly electronic or with tibet. bowls (imho best is Klaus Wiese and Jonathan Goldman).

Can anyone help me? Ever since one ofmy Hildegard cd got knicked about 10 years ago, I haven't been able to find a replacement. There's one song in particular, which was track 7 and played about 1m27s which I would love to hear again. Trouble is, I don't have a memorie for names

I am sorry, I prefer to this voice ot Lisa Gerrad. It is a matter of personal preference and that is why God needs many different kinds of singers to touch the soul of everyone.
