Hey dudes,

Here is another song off of my first solo instrumental album "In Search Of Perfection".
In this one i'm trading solos with mr. Steve Smyth.
I hope you enjoy!

Stay Metal

  • For those of you that like slow melodic playing that is fine. But, passing judgment on Gus's music because you don't like his playing style is merely your opinion and is subjective. I appreciate David Gilmore and Gus Drax. Their playing styles are different, but one is no less music than the other.

  • Nice TIE bombers on the album cover :D SW & metal ftw

  • @Tb0neZ5 I am a fan of slow melodic solos as well. But you are wrong about Gus. Gus is not your typical shredder. He will be the first one to tell you that emotion comes first. Ok this particular song may not be a representative sample of that, but have you bothered listening to the other songs of the album? Gus has a wide variety of play styles. If you like a melodic approach, try listening to "In loving memory" and judge for yourself.

  • @Tb0neZ5 emotion can be expressed through any means of music, if this is how some one views their emotion then that is how it is to be expressed. being a shredder myself i feel what i play however fast it may be. as far as musical value, its much much more technical than anything slow, the amount of theory and in depth music understanding to pull it off is more than random notes.

  • @crimsonmidnight2 I actually removed my comment because I realized I have no right to say he can't write a song since that is just my opinion. But you are wrong about me wishing I could play like that. Sure, it's nice to have the ability to play fast like that, but all it does is impresses, It has no musical value in my opinion. I have more respect for someone like David Gilmore who plays slow melodic and emotional solos.

  • THIS IS SICK! BIG FAN OF GUS D. AND STEVE SMYTH IS ANOTHER GREAT INSPIRATION. MOST METAL THING IVE HEARD TODAY.

  • SO AWESOME!!! I would love to see you live. \m/

  • need more bass!

  • good job mate

  • @Tb0neZ5 Gus' talent is beyond your imagination. As for his song writing abilities, trust me, they are as good as his shredding skills. But i bet you are just one more bitter guy that would wish he could play 1/10 like that...
