With all due respect that is a silly question and you are obviously from the city. Out in the country everyone contributes to the process and it is a training, not an age issue. There are 40 year old friends and family I wouldn't trust to run that piece of equipment and an 11 year old has the ability to handle a lot more than people give them credit for.

I live in Yakima wa. and I wanted to start a small business drilling shallow wells for use with the old hand pumps. I went to the dept. of Ecology and was told that to drill a 20 foot deep hole for a 4 inch plastic casing I would need 8000 (eight thousand) hours of experiece to get a liscense. I would have to work for someone else for at least several years before I could suck water out of a twenty foot deep pipe. Welcome to fascist Amerika. Does this seem like a free country to you?

@fishingthewatershed Next time use Google ( in WA state Trainee is 600 Hours + $25 fee) Than you need an additional 3600 Hours + $ 25 fee to be fully licensed.

so worst case you need 4200 Hours to become a fully licensed .

Also there is many short cut ..for example if you are licensed in another state you can get your licence in WA so just find the cheapest and easiest state.

Also the requested hours are log hours not experience.

WHEN I was 11 I had my own drilling rig and a job. Folks there are real folks out in the country that can do just about anything. No I am not 100 yrs old just 50...but I am glad I was born when and where I was!

Respond to this video... i dont take sides i think there just playing us back and forth dividing us up so it takes little to steer the nation through a grow and harvest cycle. the solution is for all groups that want change to merge into one party and vote in-group on individual issues. @fishingthewatershed i have a solution to our political probblem.2nd law of thremodynamics states that all connected bodies reach an equilibrum. So a two party system means two parties of equal size. So a litlle power on one side or the other can sway the whole thing. The nice cop democrats grow the economy, the bad cop republicans, fight wars, gain teritory cause recesions and then buy up the best companies and assets cheap. Their in cahoots with each other and were playing keep away.
