How To Be Delivered From Demons #1

This is a sound Biblical teaching and I highly recommend you watch it. This was filmed in 1995 about 8 years before Derek went to be with the Lord. This is a teaching that needs to be put back into our doctrine. The fallen church is afraid to speak of these truths as it is not good for the nickles (money), noses (membership) and numbers (boasting). We are in a war with the powers of darkness for truth. God has set before us an enemy and given us all we need to be set free from sin and the powers of darkness . The lie that says Christians can't have demons needs to be confronted. Deliverance is the CHILDREN's BREAD, it is for the children of God. Of course our focus should not be on demons, but we best be aware of their schemes. Jesus said in HIS NAME we would cast out devils (demons). Wake up and get free and get your family free. But none of this has any redeeming value until we WALK IN COVENANT obeying the commands of Jesus, otherwise the demons will come right back. Sure there is a lot of fake deliverance and counterfiet to the real things. That is a scheme of Satan to discredit the very clear teachings in the Scriptures. Derek Prince was and is the real deal and this teaching will bless you. Jesus is our deliverer and know there will be no lasting deliverance unless we obey Him.

The Holy Spirit resides in the heart, not the body or flesh. Those who are born again can have demons in their flesh that need to be cast out after they are converted. Like Derek said 'possessed' is NOT the correct translation, Spirit-filled believers are not owned by demons but demonized or oppressed by Satan. The Lord sent a messenger of Satan or demon into the flesh of Paul to buffet him and keep him humble. So that tells us a demon can reside in the flesh of a born again believer.

Believers have the Holy Spirit IN your body & are sealed. God will not reside with a devil in the same body. You may be caught up in sin, heavily tempted by your flesh, the world, and the devil but not "possessed". I was delivered from many bad habits when I became born again. I am very weary about "deliverance ministries" that blame ALL bad habits on devils. It can drive a person mad percieving that they are constantly "fighting demons". Where is the rest in Jesus? The battle is of the Lord.

@Faithful1223 I dont think its fair to say that because a believer is suffering from an infirmity they are demonically possessed. What about an amputee? or someone with cerebral palsy? God can heal b/c he can do all things ACCORDING TO HIS WILL. We are told to confess our sins and Jesus will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It doesnt say he will allow you to be demonically "possessed" every time you sin! that means you will be possessed 24/7! Is that scriptural for a believer?!

I do agree that very many people are possesed unknowingly. However, I can't seem to find any scripture that could prove that a believer of Christ was demonized. I agree with this doctrine because I know that this is possible, but just can't seem to prove it. Derek said that we should presuppose that these believers were posseesed but I could not see where it says that these people were possesed and believers? Do you have any scriptures that could prove this? I would like to have them if possible
