@LenaVideos I think the top speed allowed is 10 MPH. the turn is sharp and they want to widen and double-track the turn for faster speed limit and greater volume.

Does anyone out there know how many tunnels are in IL ? I've located 6 so far ; this one, the abandoned CGW Winston Tunnel just south of here, 3 tunnels on the IC route in southern IL, and one called Tunnel Hill that is now part of a bike trail.
The Winston Tunnel is a very interesting place to visit.

You can't walk in the Winston anymore, they closed each sides.
