i have been there not so long ago whe had small investigation. we captured few orbs on photos... and mid way to the tunnel we heard a whistle... none of was whistling... later that day we after review of the video we heard that whistle loud as if someone was whistling a melody. very clear about 6-7 different notes. it was amazing to hear it on vid...:) we will come back there for an investigation...

Interesting. I would like to point out that although the line running through the tunnel up to Longridge may have ceased being in regular use in 1980 the tunnel still carried occassional goods trains travelling up to a factory near Deepdale until the start of the 1990's. My garden backs onto the old railway line just east of the Skeffington level crossing and it is due to become the first part of the Preston Tram system running from Junction 31a on the M6 to Preston City centre via the tunnel.

@stealth1692 The Maudland entrance to the tunnel is a few yards behind the Ship Inn which is a student pub just off the big roundabout. There is a short section open to the sky at Adelphi Place where a friend of mine once had a flat. The Deepdale end of the tunnel is by Great George Street which links North Road and St. Paul's Road. Raza Mosque (The one with the green domes) is on the corner of Gt. George St. and St. Paul's Road.
