Wonder Woman Season 2 Bullets and Bracelets

Diana once again participates in the Amazon tradition of Bullets and Bracelets to prove she is worthy of entering the outside world. @caribeandude1 Carolyn Jones was beginning her battle with cancer around this point in the series. She was too unwell to be a part of it from then on. She lost her battle in 1980. We miss her. Rest in peace My Queen.

In the comics, all Amazons were required to wear their bracelets to remind them of their failure to uphold the will of The Gods of Olympus. Never figured out why none of the Amazons, except those in contest, never wore their own bracelets.

@stephy7475 Cloris Leachman who played her mother in the pilot episode was either unavailable or uninterested in playing the role again. Carolyn Jones played the role in a few subsequent episodes. Then for the updated version of the show neither actress was available. Enter Beatrice Straight

Great scene, and in syndication it was usually cut (they went straight from the council voting for Diana to be allowed to leave right to the Queen giving her back the costume). It is also the very last time we'd ever hear the Olympic type ceremonial fanfare, and the only time it was used in the 1970s episodes.

I like how it's a tradition. Just like our ancient Amazon heritage, we enjoy using a weapon created within the last 400 or so years. Yes, lets deflect them while a crowd of people are standing by and could get hit. ...well, I guess if all the tidbits really mattered then I'd talk about her spin transformation but.... eh, idc, I still loved Wonder Woman.
