Why People Don't Trust Their Government

When something simple like road construction seems off (in a complex way), it makes it hard to trust anything at any level of government.

I didn't mention it in the video, but another issue is out neighborhood being a "Historic District." This means there are some strict guidelines people must follow with keeping their houses looking... "pimp." It's not cool the city leaving things looking so nasty-Mc-nast.

i think all the money that the government is spending is the taxpayers money.... i live in australia and yes i pay taxes... and we have this pm whatever his name is and hes pissing money into the economy from the crysis nd is giving away stimulus packages...all he is doing is posponing what is to come and because of this its going to be worse.... he is already millions if not billions in dept and its MY generation that is going to have to pay his dept....!!!!!!

They want you feel good about paying taxes. They are putting sidewalks on my street might be because most poeple walk here. Just a waste of money. They should help people to buy OLD houses they can later fix up . =)

You should see our little town, the roads are so poorly constructed that you could literally replace your shocks every month. You are right, just go live near politicians and enjoy tax payer money. Most politicians are total crooks with their hidden agenda's. We have a stadium coming that 90% of our city doesn't want, but the idiot mayor pushed it through anyway. What a dick! His pockets are getting filled somehow you can believe that!
