Karma Barnes graduated from the TLC Stage 3 program in 2008. Since then she has continued to develop her practice, exploring multimedia installation work and the concept of the mandala.
Weaving the Circle included Karma and three other artists, harakeke weaver Kylie Fawcett, lantern maker Moira Barber, and painter Ekarasa Prem. All four were working with ideas around the circle and came together from across New Zealand, to create the show at Wellingtons 2009 Fringe Festival.
Located at Shed 13, along Wellingtons waterfront, Weaving the Circle explored the idea of the mandala, expressing the wisdom, healing aspects and essence of the medicine wheel and the sacred mandala.
