  • Is it okay to ask why the title changed? "yng Nghwmfelinfach" -- a different mutation? By the way, I like this song as much now as when I first heard it, or more.

  • Small difference when spoken but it's nasal (yng Nghwm) not soft (yn Gwm) mutation. Glad you like this so much.

  • finally found the words to this song -- explains why you sing it this way -- because your "nghalon ar y mynydd"

  • Diolch Sarah. Oedd fy nant ar mynydd Bargoed, cwm Rhymni.

  • Brilliant David, love this song, heard it many years ago with an unknown tenor solo with the Dunvant choir on the chorus. I have been looking for this a long time. The Welsh have such an understanding of the Mountain and Nature, I havent heard a beautiful Hymn to Nature like this in any language but Welsh. Diolch yn fawr!

  • Great to hear from you, Richard and thank you so much. Cwmfelin has returned to its original verdant beauty, but in our youth it was soiled with coal dust. Pete will be delighted with your comment.
