Well, I got a $2 brownie from Panera tonight just by asking. But I had a strategy behind it as well. I waited until the cash registers were closed. Then when the girl said she could ring me up cuz they were closed, I asked for a manager. Since someone was already there from the local food pantry to pick up the leftovers for the homeless, the manager decided to just give me the brownie for free. No harm, no stealing. Just asked.
