I still have all my DRB cassettes (and you reading this know you do too or you are not a patriotic American) and I'll never forget reading this song title off the label when I first bought it and thinking: My God. I hope they didn't write some horribly sad song about a couple losing a baby. I was so relieved when I played the song and found it was a happy, good natured song about watching a daughter grow up faster than her parents think she will.
DRB was my favorite country band of the late 80s early 90s. Saw them in concert in So Cal. This particular song always reminded me of something Jackson Brown would have sung, Hillman's vocals sound just like Brown here.

Had the Herb Pedersen version of this song on LP too. Have never been able to find it anywhere these days.
