Audacity: Acapella Tutorial

Uploaded mostly for my group, but I suppose it also helps others if they're trying to sing acapella.

1. First open your mp3 file.

2. Then go to Transport and make sure Overdub is checked.

3. You should be able to record while still being able to hear the song play.

4. Delete the music track so that it's just the vocal track.

5. Then export it as a WAV.

After you export it, you can upload it to Youtube or send it to me by uploading it to mediafire or 4shared.

when i press the record botton, it says error and check the input device settings and the project sample rate. what does that mean

@christmasgirl8 It's probably just your microphone settings. Try your settings from the control panel or try restarting Audacity or your computer.
