As always in our stories, there are a dedicated group of Buffaloians who have worked behind the scenes of this project to make it happen. The list of those involved is long, and rather than risk leaving someone out, we simply say thank you to all responsible in any way for giving us back this cherished WNY holiday tradition. Thank you for re-kindling some treasured holiday memories for those of us old enough to remember...thank you for the chance to make such holiday memories anew.

I think it's wonderful that not all of the displays are located out in the Village of Lancaster, NY. After all, they are not a part of the heritage of Lancaster--they are a part of Buffalo NY's heritage. I have nothing against Lancaster--I grew up there, myself, and recall my parents taking my brother & me downtown to see these treasures (which was a very big deal!). Maybe someday the Lancaster Historical Society will either donate or sell the rest of them to Buffalo's Historical Society.
