A game in Italy's Serie B yesterday featured a rare instance of fair play, with Ascoli allowing Reggina to score uncontested.

It started when Reggina defender Carlos Valdez was injured and booted the ball toward the sideline so he could exit.

Ascoli intercepted the pass and scored to go up 1-0.

Reggina protested vehemently and when play resumed, Ascoli's players stood still and allowed Biagio Pagano to score.

Reggina went on to win 3-1.

  • I don't get it, fair play from Ascoli? They scored a goal when they should have passed it back to Reggina and then got a Reggina player sent off....the least they could do is let Reggina score.

  • @Zodiak34

if you see good, after 1-0 for ascoli, when the game re-started, the ascoli players were all stopped and at 0:41 the reggina lost the ball, and ascoli gives another...
