@LebaneseNewYorker just like Shakira\ Salma hayek, if u asked them,Shakira would tell u she's Colombian, that's her nationality, and where she lived all her life, Salma hayek would tell u she's a mexican, because that's her nationality, and where she lived all her life,
the fact that both have Lebanese roots, wouldn't make them Lebanese officially, Get me?

@LebaneseNewYorker omar el sherif was a Jew, but then he converted to Islam because he married an Egyptian muslim (faten hamama),
U can't come and say someone is Lebanese just because his family had some roots, Go to wiki, they will tell u he is EGYPTIAN, he doesn't have the Lebanese nationality, therefore he is not a one, whenever he is interviewed he always says he is an Egyptian.

@MrRyan666666 Ok seriously RELAX. He is of Lebanese origin and so that does make him Lebanese. I never said hes not Egyptian. Im born in America but my parents are Lebanese, I consider myself a Lebanese American. I see him as Lebanese because he is of Lebanese origin, and yes Egyptian as well if he is born and raised in Egypt.
And it is not true that every egyptian celebrity is claimed to be Lebanese, BUT THERE ARE MANY who are half Lebanese, or 100% Lebanese but working in Egypt!
