Reasons I went Ex-Gay

I spent years and years trying to de-gay myself through ex-gay ministries and gay reparative therapy and even endured three exorcism. I finally came to my senses and accepted myself as gay. In this video I look at the several reasons why I tried to straighten myself out.

The only prerequisite to being a Christian is to believe that Christ died for our sins and rose again 3 days later. People who tell you that you need to "repent" (repent for what? Forgiveness of all sins for all time was taken care of on the cross), or do anything else other than BELIEVE are teaching a false gospel. They are trying to apply Jewish Law to Gentiles who are under grace.

Many 'straight' people are hung up with the idea that people choose their sexuality. Being gay is not just about being attracted to one's own sex. It's also about how we interact with others. Because gay guys tend to have more feminine natures, we are more apt to be made to feel inadequate when compared to our straight peers. My very macho straight father tended to unconsciously intimidate me because I was far more sensitive than my straight brother. We tend toward the softer things than macho.

Well, that's why God makes sure that there are at least 10% of men who are 100% heterosexual. For that matter, only 10% of men are 100% gay. The rest have attractions in both directions with leanings stronger in one or the other while some are equally comfortable with both sexes. It all boils down to how much testosterone a male fetus' brain receives during the first 20 wks of life.

If I didn't already have a soft spot in my heart for John and his husband of twenty years, Scott, I would have after that video. They are a very cool couple and great role models for gays everywhere. Speaking of gay couples in LTR's, let's look at Jim Nabors and his partner-now husband who have been together for 38 years. How many straight couples can boast that?
