  • Great vid XX...has the Yellow line gone to all 3rd rail operation? I remember being on the Skokie Swift many years ago,and the train stopping where they could put up the trolly poles!

  • The entire line has 3rd rail now.

  • @xxmoviemakerxxx kool vid man- is this an express line ??

  • @honeybun33 Yes.

  • How were you able to get in the front cab?

  • It's a full width cab and the motorman left one side open.

  • Not true they only can go up to 70

  • And this is why I dislike the Yellow Line so darn much---too freakin' short! I prefer long rides.

  • Great video! Almost as good as riding the North Shore (been there, rode that). The North Shore trains had full air horns and motorman weren't shy about using them, but that was in 1958! Am sure the NMBYs would have a fit today.

  • Awesome video man!!! I LOVE these!!!

  • I thought the cta train only went like 55mph. (I clocked the Red Line on the freeway - 94.)

  • Yeah, that would be the window on the left side like MBTA Boston's 0700s on the Blue Line and the MBTA's Red line 01800-series which are very similar to the 3200s in Chicago. Also, the ROW of the Skokie Swift reminds me of MTA Metro-North's New Haven Line, heck in that Skokie Swift when it ran in overhead, a MNR train of M2s or M4s could have easily ran on the Skokie Swift at those speeds

  • Holy snaps imagine if that was the Blue Line!
