With a handful of surprise ingredients, 15 minutes to prepare a recipe and one hour to cook, teams of local chefs contended in the UIs "Iron Chef" cookoff April 4 at the Iowa Iowa Memorial Union. The cookoff was part of a daylong symposium called "Food, Ethnic Identities and Memory, which included food-themed lectures throughout the day.
