After MacKenzie feigns support for the interpreter, the General attacks his testimony as "second- or even-third hand information". Attaran calls Mackenzie's position "complete nonsense", pointing out anything Natyncsyk claims to know must have came through Pascha.

MacKenzie desperately tries to twist Attaran's words into an attack on Natyncsyk's letter, while Amir steadfastly maintains his faith in the credibility of the Chief of Defence Staff's claim that the episode is "very well documented".
