You usually get the Source together with the repack, as long as it's open-source (Most of them are).

It depends on this case.
Usually, in the launch_*.bat files you will see line saying ";dist\XXXX.jar". This is the name you need to give the file.
However, naming the project doesn't really matter, since you can always rename the JAR later. :)

Not at all. Coding is the process of typing the code into the files. Compiling just "translates" the files we wrote into machine language (00001111010101011011010) :D
