Reading and Northern Steam Engine 425

December 29, 2007: Steam is back on the Reading and Northern! RBMN 4-6-2 No. 425 is first seen on the Reading and Northern Reading Branch, and will make its way up to Jim Thorpe, PA. A very beautiful red, white, and blue steam locomotive; however, obviously some parts in primer that have yet to be painted. 425 is then seen chugging by the Port Clinton station, listen to that whistle!

History: This steam engine was orignally built in January 1928. As GM&N 425, GM&O 580, Louisiana 2,4, Valley Forge Scenic 425, and exBlue Mountain and Reading railroad 425, and now currently restored as RBMN 425, this locomotive has quite a history!

Great video, It's a shame Len didn't get out. I'm sure he would had more area's on video then all you guy's. It shows with all the past trips he chased and rode. You sure learn from the master of videoing.

yep, old gm&n 425, gm&o 580, used to spend alota time at jackson tn's iselin shop in the mid 1940's, old gm&o employee i know used to work on her all the time, , he says it once had a brass souhtern valve gear

Have you railfan yet, with Pennsylvania best Railfan {Len}? If you haven't you should he sure knows his stuff. Just take alook at his video's He's been every where. I still think your video is good though.
