Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - 1988 Winter Games, Ice Dancing, Original Set Pattern ("Tango") - Isabelle and Paul Duchesnay of France interpreted the magical choreography of Christopher Dean here in this dance and won over the audience. Though some of the judges loved the routine, there wasn't enough of them to help the Duchesnays move up. They would place 8th in this phase and remain in 8th Place overall going into the Free Dance.

  • I don't always agree with Dick Button, but here is was excited and correct about this routine...The tango is normally such a serious, sexy routine, for a brother/sister couple to do a tango with deadpan humour on ice is incredible.

  • Thank you for posting..

  • Thank you so much for posting. I looked for years for a video of this original dance routine. It's easy to find the Free Dance. So nice to see it after all these years. Best Wishes.
