Native Linux game Amnesia Dark Descent running in Ubuntu 10.04, This is a upcoming horror game which up to now is amazing, You don't get any weapons and you have too outwit anything by sneaking by them which adds to the game making it even more scarier! The game has amazing interactivity and like penumbra can be a puzzling game, A must get!

  • @Bobobobobobo4298 Type in Amnesia on google then buy the Linux version..

  • low frame rate? why? because of screen recorder ? Or it is this way?

    Is this app native?

  • @technologyvictim It is native yes, low framerates are caused by my old hardware and desktop recorder! :)

  • So this means it's running OpenGL right?

  • @justezero Nevermind. I always disable desktop effects before gaming, When I passed the first section of the game, before the old archives it is slow, then from the old archives it runs perfectly... That's very odd, but at least it works.

  • @RatmanXX configure your desktop with minimal effects or non effects and then play the game, you may gain 20 fps in that way

  • I want to play this game on Linux (Kubuntu 11.04), but it runs slowly, even on medium setting, and 1024x768.

On Windows 7 I played it on 1600x900 and on almost full graphics and ran with a decent speed (22-35 FPS).

I have official ATI Driver installed (the latest one). Any idea?

  • @Rapidfirewordburst: yes it DOES
