A call came in from communications around 3pm for a reported brush fire. A Marion police officer arrived on-scene and advised that the brush fire had spread over into an abandon trailer. Once we arrived on-scene the trailer was fully involved. Two 1 3/4 lines were pulled to put out the fire, The trailer was filled with stacks of ply wood which made for tough overhaul. Enjoy and watch in high quality

  • wat is the point of dual Qs

  • Well the other is an eQ-2b, It was just the first siren the driver came too. No reason just happend to swich to that siren.

  • i like the short bus at 1:02 lol

  • lol i never even noticed that.

  • half of it was exited other half flipping out

  • Yeah, some how the probie got put up front and when he saw the fire he got a little excited.

  • @armadaskis720 - uhhh, actually, it's NOT... the Q is supposed to go UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN; why do you think FEDERAL SIGNAL programmed the eQ2b to cycle up and down continuously, not be held at one pitch/tone/volume level? not to mention, an air horn ISN'T meant to be held the entire run, it's an EXTRA attention getter when you need it, such as clearing an intersection or if someone looks like they're gonna pull out in front of you... at least some FDs have GOOD driver training

  • Disregard my last question, it was answered at the end of the video.

  • Was that ambulance in front of you going to the same call?

  • @futureff2 You're correct, the mechanical Q has a motor that pulls a lot of power when you run it continuously, so you're putting a lot of stress on the electrical system and the motor. Best used for intersections and heavy traffic, but never stand on the button.

  • i miss the pull down chain. before my mine and my dad's company refurbished the engine in 1992 they took it out and replaced it with a button on the dash on the officers side and the horn for the driver. itssssss a s

  • Gotta agree with Futureff2, but good video! keep'em coming

  • @brettfirefighter129 - probie, volunteer captain of a department that runs 100 calls a year, SAME THING

  • @Gman027 - just think, all that ridiculous noise for an abandoned trailer... not to mention, the purpose of the Q is to FLUCTUATE through different pitches, not to be held out continuously at one volume level... i'd hate to be the alternator on that rig! it's a wonder they didn't lose the friggin' power for the lights, or air for the brakes

  • now THAT is how you fucking use the Q/air horn

  • @Gman027 but fun dont forget that.
