  • this was an awkward interview, Mikhail answered most of Francesca's questions with no relevance

  • I'm a huge fan of this guy. I respect him so much

  • It seems Russians were uninterested in basketball, may be only from not yet knowing the excitement of this sport. I think fans in Moscow will increase in number and excitement when seeing the strategies the Nets employ. Everyone loves New York.

  • Mikhail Prokhorov will turn the Nets around successfully, with strategy in team management bringing to the floor the players` best skills.

  • Prokhorov is the best thing to ever happen to nets, trust me! this is classic! He will use the same model that Abramovich used when he bought Chelsea: Throw money and buy the best players in the league.

  • being a die hard knick fan i will never root for the nets to be good not even when they move to BK but i gotta say i wish Dolan sold MSG to this Russian guy he is 10000 times better businessman then Dolan will ever be

  • Prokhorov would have never gotten into this venture if the Nets would have planned to stay in NJ.

He didn't fall into billions of dollars by accident. He's an astute businessman. Watch his 60 Minutes special.

  • There's no better place to win than winning in New York City and Brooklyn falls into that. Brooklyn is an equal part of NYC as Manhattan is.

Socially and culturally, there are parts of Brooklyn which are becoming the new East Village, SoHo, and Tribeca. It's the place to be.

  • a lot of the Nets not being so popular all those years was having to play in Jersey, specifically in Brendan Byrne/Continental Airlines arena. The place is basically a barn inside of a swamp. The Cock in Newark is no better.

Same for the Devils. One of the most successful hockey franchises of the last 15 years (i say this as a Ranger fan) had shitty regular season ticket sales because of their location. Their parades were not parades but parking lot BBQs.

Brooklyn will be a different story.

  • @DeepHauz13 I agree that the new generation will accept the nets more than this current ones will.Still the town will be own by the knicks.Especially if the knicks are able to land carmelo with in the next 9 days...
