Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, live at the Cologne, Germany Bizarre Festival, 1996. Pro-shot, and a pretty great gig. Highlights include a hilarious performance of Where The Wild Roses Grow, featuring Blixa Bargeld singing Kylie Minogue's part to great comedic effect. Also notable for containing a terrifying Loverman and the best performance of The Mercy Seat that I've ever heard, hands down. Makes Johnny Cash look like a little bitch (although his cover remains excellent). They were touring for Murder Ballads, I believe.

  • i am afraid, that Kylie has never made this song such a great one as Blixa did here.

  • how I love it at around 3.09 when Blixa reads of his fate, raising his eyes accusingly to Nick as if to say "how dare you?!?"

  • This is so much better with Blixa.

  • Wonderful .... but I have a question... why does Blixa often read the lyrics when he sings?

  • Sad that Blixa left the Bad Seeds

  • Blixa rules!

  • lol

  • It would always crack me up how Blixa looks uncomfortable when Nick gets close.

  • Awww, Blixa gets a flower.

  • I don't like the studio version much because Kylie's voice annoys me. Blixa makes it so much better. :P
