Corporate "Skate Shop" Fail

Yes, I realize that screwing with people at work is a dick move but you have to look at it through my eyes to truly appreciate what's being said. The dude works at a "skate shop" and doesn't know anything about the products he's selling. If I was going to buy a car and the salesman's main pitch to me was "It's black! Everyone loves black!" then I would go elsewhere. I don't know what kind of messed up stuff could have gone down with that car that he's trying to sell me, it could be a total lemon. So why do people buy skate gear from corporate shops that have employees that don't know what they're talking about? It's the same reason people pay more money for a 20oz drink than a 2 liter, convenience. The fact that these stores are in the mall makes them more accessible to the masses. Any 14 year old girl in the mall with her friends can stumble into one of these places in hopes of finding a cute shirt or their next victim (ehem, boyfriend). I hate corporations in general, not because I fear big government or because I'm a conspiracy theorist or anything like that. I just hate corporations because I've been around and worked in small businesses all of my life and I've seen the way they treat their customers compared to these big soulless corporations. Support your local skate shop and they'll support you as well.

Can't afford to buy discount boards from a mall shop? Get out of here with that shit. I don't buy from them because their customer service is shit, and their only purpose is to leach off of people that are too stupid to realize that there's a real shop less than a mile a way.
