Cool Terminal Tricks For Macs

First command:
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add '{tile-data={}; tile-type="spacer-tile";}'
Second command:
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add '{tile-data={}; tile-type="spacer-tile";}'
To restart the dock:
killall Dock

this one is for the dock spaces

drutil tray eject
this is if your eject button is broken.


Play Tetris, Snake and Pong: 1. emacs 2. enter 3. esc 4. x (tetris),(snake) or (pong)

Recent Apps: defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add '{ "tile-data" = { "list-type" = 1; }; "tile-type" = "recents-tile"; }'
killall Dock

Stack Highlighter: defaults write com.apple.dock mouse-over-hilte-stack -boolean YES
killall Dock

Remove Highlighter: defaults write com.apple.dock mouse-over-hilte-stack -boolean NO
killall Dock

Star Wars: telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl

2D Dock: defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
killall Dock

3D Dock: defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO
killall Dock

Sing Song: say -vGood or say -vBad
