BBC News report showing why over 100,000 families in the allegedly civilised UK are homeless. Police and bailiffs under council instruction evict a community of artists who had decided to house themselves in a building that had, for the five years prior to their occupation, stood empty.

  • council housing rent is going up by 80% 2012...wakeup people

  • If it was my house I'd evict them.

  • I work for Camden and it's a great place to be as long as you know how to play the system. I know who to be friends with and who I can fuck over. I have worked my way into a position where nobody can mess with me. Life is great. To get a head in life you got to be the bitch. A big bitch with big balls. Live under my feet.

  • this "artists" are probably some small fish "undercover" cops...otherwise they would not even let them in, at first place.

  • You want my thoughts on agency workers? asks OReilly. These are a few thoughts, he says. An agency worker is a unit of production-stroke-property. On a scale of one to 10, the agency worker is minus one. He is farmed out to employers for money. His or her situation is similar to a sex worker employed by, or in slavery to, a pimp.

  • i work for camden council on brassey rd west side estate NW6 for one month for a agency and didn't get payed. The agency workers have little or no protection in their work. Ie i worked for camden council with out the right clothes and had to buy my own boots. There needs to be radical changes in legislation. But don't worry as long as the one legged lesbian ok

  • Empty council flats in London when there is a housing shortage. squatting should be legalized again. I squatted in the 80s in Camden. It was a council flat that haf been empty for over 4 years. A group of artist cleaned and painted the building. Its criminal to evict squatters especially when there is a shortage of housing.

  • There are no such things as homes or houses.

    There are only investment properties.

  • Blairs Britain!
