Here's another short video featuring my 10/22 SBR, but this time with my Tac63 instead of my homemade silencer. Enjoy!
I forgot to mention it in the video except very briefly, but I also shortened the barrel to approximately 4.5" and re-threaded it 1/2-28, still 0.450" long. I did this to reduce the chance of a slightly hotter round going faster than the speed of sound and causing a sonic crack, as I mainly use CCI MiniMags. Since taking that inch or so off the barrel, it has not happened again.
If I were to start from scratch, I would have cut the barrel to 4.5" to begin with.
The stock really was simple to make left-folding. I literally took the entire bracket off, flipped it over, changed the folding mechanism button to work in the other direction (again, I simply flipped it over) so the button was still on the bottom with the bracket facing left, cut the steel stock free from the pivot/folding mechanism, turned it over, and welded it back in place. It now folds to the left, which I find more convenient and less in the way when firing it while folded.
Some of you may also notice completely different sights on this rifle versus the previous one. I was gifted a handful of assorted gun parts by a friend and the sights were in with the rest. Quite a thoughtful gift, and already going to good use.
Thanks for reading the information. So few people do read it, but they still tend to ask me questions which are answered right here.
And yes, I truly enjoy being able to shoot in my back yard.
Sir that is a lovely little toy you have there. i am very jealous. Did you personally do all of the work? (shorten the barrel and re-crown, thread) Awesome.

Hello, reddit users! I seem to be gaining a small following here, there, and everywhere. Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for the watches.

Next time, talk while you are shooting, or some other kind of background noise. It would emphasize just how quiet the firearm is when shooting.

@orthzar That's a good idea, but my camera is a relatively inexpensive Olympus. If I were to speak so that the mic picked my voice up, the gun wouldn't be heard. It really is a balancing act.
What I truly need to do is just pony up and get a proper recording setup with shielded mic specifically for firearms.

awesome little setup. wish we could have SBRs here in norway.
Is that snow i see in the background?

@norwegianwiking Yes, there was snow on the ground yesterday. More fell today, and most likely there will be yet more tomorrow. Although I'm not in Norway, I'm fairly far north in the USA. :)
