Part 1 of a video of Valenta Fitted 43053 on 30th August 2008. On Saturday 30th August 43053 worked 1V29 and 1M28. It was the last Cross Country Hire In HST this year, and possibly ever. It will also likely be the last Valenta engine to visit Newquay and maybe Cornwall. This video is some photos and videos of its visit to Newquay. Enjoy!

Excellent vid of 053 my favourite valenta I remember coming home from london on this and when I got off it. It gave such hellfire.

Yes, she is a nice engine, my last Valenta, so certainly one i will rememeber.

Amazing, from the buffet end of coach G she was really quiet.

A bleedin' great machine though, it'll be a sad day when she goes to Brush.

The noise was helped by one of the doors to the power car being open.

Will be sad when it goes to Brush, afterwards it will be coming to FGW.

That's true, you could see right into the power car from coach M (or whatever it is).
