I saw a huge flock of these fly overhead today in a near perfect V formation while I was out filling the bird feeders. I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to see this & hear their calls. Great video & photos!
I live in Kansas and it's very rare to see them. But once I saw a small migrating group of 4 I watched them take off and it was amazing! I was so glad to see such a wonderful bird! Beautiful pictures, amazing video and spectacular birds!!!
Those are beautiful photos. We have the Sandhill Cranes here in Fritz Creek Alaska, a pair nests every year on our acreage and we so enjoy their dancing and antics from May to September, when they fly to the San Joaquin Valley in California. The Sandhill Cranes are a huge part of the Shorebird Festival occuring the first week of May in Homer Alaska.
Beautiful photos. I'm and ex Wisconsinite now in Clearwater, Fl. We get to see only a few at a time on our golf course. I have a video of them doing a mating dance.
Very cool, I just got some video of two of them this morning, near Pistakee lake near Fox Lake, Il. So not too far from Lake Geneva. This is the first time I've seen these in this area. I've lived in the area since the sixties.
cant believe people hunt these
