my grandad served on hms penelope during the siege of malta and was the last ship to leave malta in april 1942 she had that much damage she was nicknamed the hms pepperpot she would have been in america being repaired when this footage was taken she was sunk on the 18th february 1944 killing 415 men 206 survived
