I've been sitting on this little number for about seven years and have always loved the tune. I've always wanted to cover it but I needed to wait until I felt like I could do it any kind of justice as well as understand the true emotion of the song. I first saw David Ryan Harris in Mountain View back in 2003 when he was performing at one of the side stages at a John Mayer concert. And then he took the mainstage with Mayer's band for the better part of 9 years and stole the show any time he was featured on a song. He's amazing. One day, I hope to play a show with the man. He's an LA guy now and my guitar player Keith even randomly bought a pedal from DRH on Craigslist. Strange.
