A lot of girlfriends will say they don't want their man going into the military. I mean that was my first thought for my husband. But you can't decide what they want to do. You have to be with them every step of the way. The strongest thing you can do while they take that step is support them. Going thru basic training is a mental mind fuck. Physically draining. Best of luck to those girls watching their loved one go off. And tons of luck and support to those going in!

Can't agree with this MORE...Because what would happen IF you DID lose them...and you wasted all your time crying... It sucks loosing a soldier it does...but dont harp on a chance it may happen...be happy and enjoy the times with them~...Just a word of advice from a girl who LOST her fiance overseas...

I can hardly listen to this. My boyfriend wants to join the military when he's of age. I don't think I'll be able to go a night without crying, worrying.
