A lot of girlfriends will say they don't want their man going into the military. I mean that was my first thought for my husband. But you can't decide what they want to do. You have to be with them every step of the way. The strongest thing you can do while they take that step is support them. Going thru basic training is a mental mind fuck. Physically draining. Best of luck to those girls watching their loved one go off. And tons of luck and support to those going in!

my older cousin is planning on joining the Air force I think or something with the military, and honestly as much as I know that he most likely won't get hurt I'm really scared for him. Although I don't tell him that, our whole family supports him since some other people in my family have been in the Air force, mostly because then they support you for when you go to college.

If anyone has a boyfriend or girlfriend who wants to join the military, you can't really say he/she can't do it because you're scared. You have to support your loved one because its what they want to do. They need a stable support system during the process.
