Peaches the Skunk - Stranger Danger

Peaches is my pet skunk. She is very, very shy and will immediately go to one of her safe zones if she hears or sees anyone she does not know. I am sitting on the couch petting her as I often do, and some one knocks on our front door. Peaches is very shy and doesn't like strangers and she freaks out and jumps off the couch in runs in a mad panic behind our TV. I have a big TV and have placed it in the fireplace. Peaches loves going behind the TV into the fireplace, its like a big cave for her and she feels very safe back there. Any time she is frightened she runs as fast she can for her "Safe Zone" behind the TV. and hides until the stranger leaves, then she comes back out to play in the front room or sit on the couch to be petted. This time she runs so fast she over shoots the entrance and has to double back!
