Top of the World! Geocache after the Grass Valley Fires on October 22nd, 2007. This is what is left afterward. Miraculously the log book and several items survive.

  • @Calderoh It just might! Probably not in the same location though, but I saved all that I could from the old cache. I might put some tags on the melted items and send them around.

  • .. Wow, so the plastic melted and the golf ball exploded, but the paper didn't self ignite( 451 F, anyone :P) and the the pen didn't leak all over?

    This is lucky.

  • Thats why everybody should use clip lock boxes for geocaches. they are waterproof, tough, and now they can withstand FIRE! lol

  • i supous the owner came back and replaced the notebook, it is the most imprtant i think because they always are checking the place
