So I changed codecs AGAIN, and I have to say, I got the better result since the cursor amazingly showed up this time, considering it didn't show up at all in my LP! I didn't converse with the animals because I wanted to make sure I could get this in 2 parts. Also, I believe this is the first walkthrough of the 1999 re-release of this game on YouTube! Now, it doesn't seem like a big deal, but unlike other re-releases, this has notable changes to it, which are-
The autoplay window is different
The logos at the beginning are different
The pause window is updated
The copyright dates are updated
The game adjusts to fullscreen, whereas in the original it had a black border unless you set it to 640 x 480
The music when talking to the giraffes, rescuing Skeeter, and rescuing Sammy has been changed (As you can now clearly hear when those events happen)
The item cursors are now colorized, whereas in the original they were monochrome
Putt-Putt says nothing after he picks up the log in Grasslands (unusual for a HE game, huh?)

  • You should feed Putt-Putt ten cotton candies! He'll hurl!

  • @TheMickiRae I didn't have it turned on. I decided not to have it on for this walkthrough or the single-part version on HumongousSoundtracks.

  • how did u run this game? I have windows 7 and it has compatibility issues or something could u tell me how u made it work?

  • @petergriffin9277 This is on XP, and it worked just fine. I think you have a 64-bit computer. I have had people tell me about this issue too. Just get ScummVM, it should work through there.

  • I always wanted Cheetos and hot cocoa while playing this.

  • Heh, I've always liked that self-promotion billboard at 1:45. Seems this game and "Pajama Sam 1" helped set the standards for all post-1995 HE games (especially the closing credit style, which would then begin to feature "joke" credits starting with this game.)

I also think the newer HE and Junior Adventure logos work better with "Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo" than the old logo did in the 1995 version...

  • I LOVE THIS GAME AND IM FIFTEEN!!!!! lol

  • ...nostalgia. :D

  • Fun fact: At the paint shack, there's a sleeping blue parrot who yawns when you click on him. If you click on the tree above him, some random bird with an acorn pops up to drop the thing on it's head unnoticed for the lulz, only that the victim that was supposed to get knocked out goes back to sleep. Right after you click the tree, click on the parrot. The acorn will fall into the parrot's mouth, who nearly suffocates until he spits the thing out and goes back to sleep once more.

  • Lol. Little Skeeter the Snake. I miss being innocent.

  • THIS HUGE RUSH OF NOSTALGIA !!!!!

  • This was my favourite game ever

  • @TheMickiRae Well when Pep sneezed Putt Putt cover it and then Putt Putt sneezed. Cars don't have noses

  • At the end credits the picture where Outback Al is trying to catch Fatty Bear. This game was released in 1995 and again in 1999 then in 2011 they port it to the iOS. If this game gets a HD remake it's going to be on the X360 and PS3

  • I have this game and Artari released this game on the App store

  • Do you think Putt-Putt can melt the snow using the hot cocoa?
