Fossa's (Cryptoprocta ferox) are mammals and a relative of the mongoose. They can weigh up to 65lbs and are excellent tree climbers. Moving quickly through trees with their strong claws and long tail for balance, fossa's prey on mammals, rodents, birds and lemurs.

Habitat: Forests and woodland savannah's (Madagascar)
Threats: habitat loss; hunted by humans
