While Alabama A&M's "Showband of the South" won the battle of the bands in Chicago's Soldier Field in 2011, in the actual football game, the Hampton Pirates came back from being down 17-0 at half, to win 21-20 on the strength of a strong-rushing QB named David Lagree. The end for AAMU came when AAMU's last second 35 yard field goal was blocked by Hamtpon's Ian Davidson (wearing No. 6)!

Small but fleet of foot, Hampton's Antwon Chisolm gave the Pirates a one point lead they never surrendered on a four yard run -- but that run capped many vintage Vick-like jaw-slacking scrambles by QB Lagree -- to put Hampton in position to take the lead. In the end, special teams won it, though with Davidson's block of the potential AAMU game winner as time expired.

What a great football game.
