Jimi Hendrix used, at different times and on different songs, the Dallas Arbiter Fuzzface, the Mosrite Fuzzrite, and several Roger Mayer Octavias. This pedal is a copy of the Boss FZ-2, which is a sloppy copy of the Univox Superfuzz, which sounds a little like the Fuzzrite but much more intense and with an octave tone. So no.
Jimi also used a Big Muff in practice sessions shortly before his death, but he never recorded with it that I know of.

Sounds good, just too muddy. Turn up the treble next time :)

@kdc300z it does a nice octave on high notes on the higher pitched strings. yes I know, I own it. same story with the scrambler, green ringer, etc lots of the old octave fuzzes are like this

The Lung!! That's one of my all-time favorite Dinosaur Jr. songs! Good job!

Two questions:
1) does your dad know that you're wearing his argyle sweaters, and
2) does your mom get mad at you for poorly playing your guitar in her kitchen?
-
too clean of a distortion bro, sounds muddy...
-
can you make tabs??
-
argyle sweater + j mascis jazzmaster = quite possibly my new favorite person

@kdc300z it's an asymmetrical fuzz, so there's a hint of octave in it, but it's not a proper octave fuzz.
Whats the kul octave sound at the beginning???

It's the Fuzz pedal with a palm-mute of the A power chrod. This pedal has not octave on it, sorry.

Regretfully no. But it sounds bad-ass. Thanks.

Great job, I just purchased this pedal (SF300) today based on another video by expert village, but it was removed due to copyright so yours is the only in youtube demostrating this pedal. It does remind me of the Muse kind of sound.
