Biography:
The Ancient Bards experience begins in the summer of 2007, from the mind of Daniele Mazza, the keyboard player, who's intent was to create a band that could tell the deeds of the characters of Last World in a power metal kind of way, with symphony and classical sounds. With these elements begins the recording of the demo cd called "Trailer" that contains songs extracted from the story. It'll be soon available as a promo disc. "Trailer" is the introduction to the Black Crystal Sword Saga, a story that takes it's origin from ancient northern legenda, from the celtic imaginary and from the mind of it's creator, Daniele Mazza. There is an emphasis on the heavy sounds in comparison with the traditional power metal style, but there is also a huge attention to the classical intervals. By now the band is very tight-knit and is searching for some contests to prove it's work and for a label too.

Ci sono un po troppi gruppi power con voce maschile a mio avviso (non faccio parte della band,quindi non parlo per loro).Sarebbero sputati ai Rhapsody.Così invece hanno uno stile solo loro.Purtroppo ultimamente una band fa fatica ad essere "unica" soprattutto in un genere come questo.

Well, I think I meant Video Game Genre when I said video game music. Besides the obvious exceptions (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy) most games do not have music that stands alone outside the game. The music is designed to keep the balance of you being engrossed without being so emotionally invested it hurts gameplay. VGM though is product music and not art. VGM is the equivalent of jingle writing for commercials and not on par with film scores. That is what I meant.

@rufus566 Oddly, what I take issue with most in this statement is the implication that video game soundtracks can't also be excellent music. Or metal as hell. Daisuke Ishiwatari is like, my third favorite neoclassical artist.
