Quite apart from the qualities of Rubenstein's performance,in terms of recorded sound this strikes me as much better (ie. immediate) than the early 80's DG recording/Pollini.

The lyric melody is here heard better than in most o f the records. Rubinstein's soul is almost always incomparable.
