15 Second Advert for 'V' Energy Drink - June '08

Created this in 3D animation class in first semester 2008. 3D all done in 3dsmax9, after effects used for many finishing touches on the final, and 95% of the sounds I recorded or produced myself.

V Energy drink is a real company based in New Zealand, we had to create a 15 second long ad to promote the drink based on either a tennis court or a basketball court. No humanoid characters allowed, nor any advanced rigging. The class is more geared toward beginning students, so I got to have some fun with it.

THIS ISN'T A REAL AD. V's real ads are several cuts above this one, they are worth checking out. They have little bug characters in them.

This is great, intelligent and funny. There is a clear difference when the balls become alive. Too bad you didn't use textures enough and your skydome is dirty.

@mangerlentement Cheers! Yeah, I hate doing textures, and we were barely being marked on them so I didn't bother much. I didn't use a skydome, but what does it mean if you have a 'dirty skydome'?
